Event Details
Increasingly tourists are wanting to experience the true essence of the places they visit, to learn about local histories and cultures, and to hear stories about people. This new phenomenon, dubbed ‘Cultural Heritage Tourism’, will be the focus of an entertaining panel discussion with three of South Australia’s leading authorities on this subject – Keith Conlon OAM, Chair of SA Heritage Council, Greg Mackie OAM, CEO of History Trust SA and Jon Durdin, Chair of Tourism Barossa.
The event includes a delicious hot brunch at Angaston’s Wanera Wine Bar & Restaurant. After brunch, Keith Conlon will conduct a tour of the Top 20 photographs in the 2020 Heritage Photo Competition in the Angaston Town Hall, where you will also preview the 2021 Barossa History Fair Expo, to be held the following day. The event promises to be valuable not just for local history groups looking for new and exciting perspectives, but also for those wishing to benefit from new opportunities in the promotion of the Barossa’s unique history and heritage.
Ticket, including brunch, $20pp. Click on ‘learn more’ to book.
