Discover and celebrate the unique history and cultural heritage of the Barossa region in one great location.
Attend the Welcome to Country; speak with local history groups and have your questions answered; browse the Heritage SnAps photographic display; watch the Victoriana Society promenade and the Light Horse parade; see the sparks fly at the Angaston Blacksmith Shop and enter the Family Scavenger Hunt.
Listen to one or more of the following 1 hour sessions:
- The Cheer-Up Society of SA and the Barossa Valley contribution to this significant war work, with Christeen Schoepf, Historical Archaeologist
- Saints or Sinners – let history speak for itself, with Judith Francis, President of the Pioneers Association of SA
- Indigenous Australian Bushfoods, with Gayle and Mike Quarmby, Outback Pride Project
- The Diary of Emilie Appelt – Eudundan, German, Lutheran, Woman 1904-1914, with Samuel Doering, author and historian.
The Angaston History Centre will be open along with the Angaston Blacksmith Shop and Museum. The Barossa Machinery Preservation Shed (additional entry fee $5, U18 free) will also be open to visitors.
